Department of Electrical
    and Electronic Engineering

The department is composed of three large divisons with eleven educational and research laboratories : Informatin and Control Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering and Electronic Materials and Device Engineering. In the department, specialized education and research are carried out in wide-ranging areas of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The aim of our program of study is to give students fundamental knowledge of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and to have them develop their personal abilities in both theoretical and practical aspects. Students have opportunities both to attend classroom lectures and to recieve tutorial instruction through project work in each of the eleven laboratories and they can present their research works in academic societies.
As for education, courses ranging from basic semiconductor theory to transistors, photoelectronics and integrated circuits are offered to students. Moreover, the subjects of communication theory, information theory, control theory and computer courses from hardware to software are included in our curriculum. Thus, our courses cover the spectrum from basic study to advanced and newly developed techniques.
In addition, students who complete the necessary credits of the specified subjects will obtain the national chief electrical engineer license after some practical experiences.
The two year master's level and three more year doctor's level graduate courses are offered to students who intend to continue their study of special topics in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and to further their academic careers.
